What's a couple more days?
We received the packet today, but we still don't have a final decision. It seems he was born pre-term, and although he seems to be growing well, there was no information as to what developmental milestones he has reached. Not knowing how premature he was, we had some additional questions for the agency. They will contact the pediatrician who has been performing his exams and ask those questions for us. Unfortunately, there was only a picture from when he was 3 weeks old, so it was hard to tell if he at least seemed alert or not. He looks pretty sleepy in the pics we have. Therefore, they are sending their staff member in Guatemala to visit and take some current pictures.
He was 4lb 8oz when she relinquished him at 3 weeks of age on Feb. 9th. By the end of March, he was up to 7lb 8oz and by the end of April he was up to 10lbs. His length and head measurements also are increasing nicely.
Anyway, we'll hopefully know more by the end of the week, but it could fall over into next week.
