Table food and other new things

I had to go back to work last week, so Adan had his first week of day care. He really seems to enjoy the interaction with the other kids, but boy does it wear him out. He had been used to two naps a day, but the day care does one long midday nap. It hasn't been an easy switch for him, but he's getting there.
Also, we've been trying to switch him over to all table food. He likes picking the food up and putting it in his mouth, but leaving it in his mouth and swallowing it is another matter. I know it's just a matter of getting used to new consistencies and chewing up and swallowing foods, so I'm trying to not worry about it too much. We supplement his diet with baby food, so he is getting enough to eat. I have included a picture to show how much food ends up on his bib (and imagine that much more sitting on his lap!). Sami, our dog, doesn't seem to mind at all, though. She waits patiently below his high chair for a little morsel to come over the side. Adan will often purposely drop food to her, as well. In fact he decided to let her lick his cracker the other day. Luckily, mommy caught him in the act and was able to take the cracker away before it went back in his mouth. He was not very happy with me, though.
In other news, he said 'momma' last week. I was visiting my parents, and my grandma and other relatives were there for supper. I had been telling them, that I thought I heard him say 'momma' when he was crying one day, but I wasn't sure. My grandma said, 'Adan, can you say "momma"?', and he said it in the clearest little voice. I've been trying all week, but he doesn't seem to want to say it again. I'm so glad everyone was sitting there to hear it, so I'm actually believed!
