Enjoying being home

I'm sorry that I failed to post that we have indeed made it home safely. It was a crazy first couple weeks between meeting relatives and friends and getting settled in but things are much quieter now. Unfortunately, Adan got a cold and ear infection right away, but he's such a trooper that you hardly knew he was sick. We just finished the last of his antibiotic last Friday.

Last weekend, we celebrated Adan's baptism, so we spent the entire weekend with our families. Adan had a great time, but boy was he exhausted by the time it was all over!

I now have only two more weeks of leave to spend with him. I'm very happy about the daycare I have found for him, but I definitely have mixed feelings about leaving him all day. I do actually miss my job (I'll probably wonder why I said that in a few weeks!), but I know it's going to be terribly hard on me to only see him a few hours each day. Some day I would like to go to a part time schedule, but we are also looking forward to adoption number two and need to save up money first. Luckily, Daron works a little earlier than I do, so with me taking to daycare and him picking up, Adan's day at the daycare won't be as long as it could be. I really think he'll enjoy the interaction with the other kids, too. He sure loves playing with his cousins right now.

I hadn't typically posted pictures of him here, at first because he wasn't legally ours and because of the public nature of this blog, but I've decided to go ahead and post a picture of him. We're pretty biased, but we sure think he's darn cute!
