Progress

Well, our coordinator made some phone calls for us today, and the attorney once again stated that we were indeed submitted to the embassy yesterday and should get our pink sheet on Monday. Apparently, Adan's passport just needs to be presented when he picks up the pink sheet, so, we have a passport appointment scheduled for 8am tomorrow morning. Adan will have his photo taken and then they'll issue the passport to the attorney. We'll get a photocopy for now, and then we'll get the actual passport before we leave. Therefore, we are feeling a little more confident that this is now actually moving along again.

We went to the zoo here today. It is a very nice, well maintained little zoo. Adan really loved watching the animals, especially the big cats and the monkeys. We are looking forward to taking him to some of the zoos back home.

Tomorrow, Adan's foster mother, Maria, is going to come visit him. She usually brings along her father who can speak a little English. She has called us every few days to see how Adan is doing, so we know she is missing him. We'll hopefully be able to set up one more visit when we are back at the Marriott before leaving.

I probably won't know more until Monday at the very earliest, so I should be able to post more then.

Hello there,

I am sorry to hear you have had the run around, but it sounds like things are finally getting figured out. We all miss you back home and at work. I can not wait to have you back and look forward to the day I can see you with your son. Enjoy your time with your family and I pray you get to come back to the States very soon.

Love and miss you-Amy
