This is getting frustrating...ergh!

Okay, so it was already frustrating. Now I'm getting ticked off. I checked with our coordinator last night and our DNA authorization request has once again been denied. This time because the photo was a shiny finish rather than a matte finish. Again, not a requirement they've ever had to deal with before. They are complying with the request and at the same time trying to supercede her by going to the director of the embassy. One way or the other, hopefully we'll get an approval soon. We are now in our 6th week for something that normally takes 2-4 weeks.

Fortunately, this goes on in parallel with the attorney submitting our case to Family Court. We were told it would probably be 7-8 weeks before we would be in FC, so we're still on track there. As long as DNA gets done by the time FC is done, our overall timeframe will probably not be terribly delayed. I'm just not feeling very optimistic that anything else is going to go quickly either. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.
