On it's way

The dossier is now officially done and out of our hands. Daron dropped it in the mail today, so it should reach our agency in a couple days. Whew! I'm so happy to have that done. Now, we sit back and wait. I'm definitely going to have to find some ways to occupy my time to get through the next few months!

So, to help pass the time, I have started my next cross-stitch project. It's a kitten hanging off a tree branch that says 'Hang in There'. It's so cute, I just couldn't resist it. I've actually made pretty good progress on it in the few days I've worked on it. If I keep it up maybe I'll have to wallpaper the baby room in cross-stitch pictures? Hmm...maybe not.

Speaking of baby rooms, Daron and I started looking at baby room furniture several weeks ago. We've had so much fun looking, but it's going to be a hard decision. There are so many choices! I think we will probably go with wood colored furniture, but I have to admit I love the white baby furniture, too. I can't tell you how great it is to finally realize we ARE going to be parents and to let ourselves actually think about a baby room. We will most likely wait to make any purchases until after we get the referral. I just think I need to see an end point before I can walk by an empty baby room every day. Plus, knowing the gender will help us decide how to decorate. I won't make anything too permanently focused on one gender because we only have one bedroom other than our own upstairs, so a second child will be sharing the room down the road.

Anyway, I don't really have much else for new news. I'll post updates as I have them.

One last thing...welcome home to my brother Jon! We're so happy to have you stateside again and we'll see you in late April!
