We got the form from the doctor's office!

Six weeks later, and it has finally arrived! As I have eluded to in previous posts, we have had difficulty getting our physical health certificate form filled out at our doctor's office. After many emails, phone calls, and quite a bit of prodding, the completed form arrived today. I have three documents to send to that Secretary of State, so they are ready to go in the mail tomorrow. Amazingly the other 16 documents were to and back from the Secretary of State in only 3 days! Let's hope this office is as quick.

There isn't much other news. Our social worker told us again that we're still looking at about a 6-8 month wait until our referral. Hopefully, the pace of referrals will pick up and we won't have to wait quite that long.

So, since it currently seems that we will not be traveling to Guatemala this year, we are planning a vacation. We have never gone on anything more than a long weekend, so I'm really excited. We think we will go to San Diego and visit all the family we have in that area, probably in the October timeframe. That will give us plenty of time to plan, plus if somehow we were to find out we'll still travel this year, we would definitely know that by then and could change our plans. We need to save all our vacation time to use during our leave for the baby, so the trip would have to be canceled if that were the case. So, for those of you reading this that live out that way, beware, we're on our way!
